Karen Faye Martz
Karen Faye Martz, 53, of Mountville, died in her cell at Lancaster County Prison on September 30, 2014, four days after she was admitted there. Warden Cheryl Steberger said she died of natural causes, and her family was told she died of heart failure. Her mother, Yvonne Creter, spoke about losing her daughter and her grandson, and said she had lost her husband as well. The family has said it has been hard to make sense of a death so soon after her admission.
