Justin Levi Galloway
Justin Levi Galloway, 42, died on August 5, 2022, while held at the Gib Lewis Unit, a Texas state prison in Tyler County. He was found in his cell with a noose around his neck and a puncture wound to his neck. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice first described the wounds as appearing self-inflicted, while an autopsy reported by KFDM and cited by Tyler County Justice of the Peace Jim Moore ruled the manner of death a homicide with ligature asphyxiation as the cause. The Office of Inspector General said the death remains under active investigation.
