Justin Gidora
Justin Gidora, 35, was a Woodlawn Heights native whom friends remember as one of the nicest guys in the Bronx and always positive, and who had lost his brother, mother and grandmother. He was taken to Bronx Central Booking after EMS was called for a major injury on July 6, 2023, then moved to Lincoln Hospital, where he died on July 13. The NYPD said his death is being investigated as a medical episode, and the medical examiner has not released a cause or manner of death. Friends say he was beaten inside the facility and suspect alcohol withdrawal, claims they have made publicly and that the police have not confirmed.
