Justin Edward Powers, 31, was held at the Jefferson County jail in Waurika, Oklahoma, when he was found hanging in his cell. According to a medical examiner's report, he was taken to a hospital, flown to Oklahoma City and placed on life support, and died ten days later on May 24, 2019. The medical examiner's report classified his death as a suicide by hanging.
