Justin Cauble
Justin Cauble, 31, died on June 25, 2016, while held at Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina. A correctional captain found him unresponsive in his cell at about 10:30 p.m. during rounds, and staff started CPR and called EMS, but resuscitation attempts were not successful. The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said he may have died of a drug overdose. An internal investigation and a sheriff's office investigation were opened.
