Julian Wilgress
Julian Wilgress, 36, died on April 28, 2026, while held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque. Jail staff called a medical emergency code, and medical personnel from the jail and University of New Mexico Hospital responded, but he died at 1:49 p.m. The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office and the jail's Office of Professional Standards are investigating. The New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator will determine the official cause and manner of death, which have not yet been established.
