Judy Lamb, 56, of Nokomis, died after being held at the Sarasota County jail. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said she was found unresponsive in her cell on a Tuesday evening and that her death was an apparent suicide. She was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, and the Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the death.
