Juan Sanchez, 51, of Victorville, was held at the High Desert Detention Center. He tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center in Victorville, where he died on February 5, 2022. San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials said COVID-19 was the cause of his death.
