Juan Salazar-Lopez, 48, was a resident of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He died on June 19, 2025, while held at the Sebastian County jail, after staff found him unresponsive in his cell and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to the Sebastian County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said no foul play is suspected. Arkansas State Police and an internal jail review are looking into the death.
