Juan Flores
Juan Flores, 28, died on July 28, 2018, at a local hospital after being held at U.S. Penitentiary Atwater in Merced County, California. According to a news release from prison officials, he was found unresponsive in his cell that evening and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Prison officials said his death is being investigated as an apparent homicide and that he may have been strangled. The FBI has been notified and is investigating, and his next of kin were informed.
