Joshua Oetzel
Joshua Oetzel, 40, of Bethel, died on November 19, 2022, after his cellmate alerted staff to a medical emergency in his cell at the Brown County Jail in Georgetown, Ohio. He was taken to Mount Orab Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Court papers say the drugs he took were brought into the jail by another man, who has since been indicted on related charges; that man's indictment is an allegation. The sheriff's office has not said how the drugs got into the jail, and the cause of death has not been officially stated.
