Joshua Grant
Joshua Grant, 25, of Smith County, died on the night of March 2, 2022, while held in a holding cell at the Covington County Jail in Mississippi. Covington County Sheriff Darrell Perkins and Coroner Chris DaQuila said jailers had last seen him lying down about 20 minutes before they found him unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating, and the cause and manner of death are pending toxicology results.
