Joshua Fuson
Joshua Fuson, 33, of Paducah, Kentucky, was remembered by Paducah Police Chief Brandon Barnhill, who said the department extended sympathy to his family and called his death tragic. Fuson was held at the McCracken County Regional Jail, where police said he became unresponsive during processing and was taken to a hospital, where he died on March 27, 2018. Paducah police reported using a Taser on him during his arrest, before he was taken into the jail. Police said medical personnel were summoned to the jail after he became unresponsive, while other reports suggested he may not have received immediate medical care. An autopsy and toxicology were scheduled, the Kentucky State Police investigation remained open, and body camera video was withheld as evidence, so the cause and manner of death have not been determined.
Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined (neglect alleged). Police say he became unresponsive at the jail and the cause awaits an autopsy and toxicology, while earlier reports say he may not have received immediate medical care.
