Joshua Cole died on October 6, 2025, while held at the Catahoula Correctional Center in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. Staff found him unresponsive and not breathing, and the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office said staff began CPR and gave Narcan and an AED before an Airvac was called, but he died before airlift efforts began.
