Josey Richard Meche, 28, of San Luis Obispo, died at the San Luis Obispo County Jail on March 12, 2014. Deputies left him in a holding cell after booking, and the next morning deputies found him unresponsive. The Coroner's Office ruled his death an accident, citing cardiac dysrhythmia due to acute methamphetamine toxicity, with hyperthermia and a heart condition as other factors.
