Died in jail or a lockup
Joseph Wilner
Joseph Wilner, 49, died on a Monday morning in August 2013 while held at the Miami-Dade corrections facility at the justice center near the county courthouse. He had been taken into custody the previous Saturday. The account reports that he was the third person to die in just over a week in county corrections custody, and that the county mayor called for a full review of the corrections department. No cause of death had been reported at the time of publication.
