Joseph Horne
Joseph Horne, 42, died on January 21, 2023, in his cell at California State Prison, Sacramento, where he was held. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said officers saw what they believed was a fight in the cell and found him motionless, and it has classified his death as a homicide. The department said another man in the cell has been named as the alleged suspect and was moved to administrative segregation while the death is investigated.
