Joseph Harrell
Joseph Harrell, 33, died on January 26, 2026, at Jessup Correctional Institution in Jessup, Maryland, where he was held. According to the Maryland State Police, the death followed a physical altercation with another person held at the prison, in front of the library, on the evening of January 26. The Maryland State Police announced the death in a news release, and its Homicide Unit investigated after the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services referred the case. The other person involved has not been identified, and the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
