Joseph Comfort
Joseph Comfort, 71, a former Corning resident, died at the Mohawk Correctional Facility in Rome, New York, where he was held, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. The department said the cause of death will be determined by the Oneida County Medical Examiner's Office, and it has not released one. The reports published in January 2019 gave his age and the facility but did not give a date for his death.
