Joseph Albert
Joseph Albert, 77, of Brewer, died at Maine State Prison in Warren on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, while in state custody. Corrections Commissioner Randall A. Liberty said in a release that medical personnel attended his death and that it was not related to COVID-19. The Attorney General's Office and the state Medical Examiner's Office were notified, the department said. His death came about a week after Harold Glidden, another man in state custody, died.
Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined. The Department of Corrections said his death was not related to COVID-19 and was attended by medical personnel, but did not give a cause.
