Jose Velazquez Trejo
Jose Velazquez Trejo, 25, of Fort Wayne, was held at the Allen County Jail. According to the Indiana State Police, a jail nurse checked on him on the Monday morning of October 21, 2024, and staff then began paperwork to move him to a hospital. He was reported found unresponsive in his cell and pronounced dead at 8:30 a.m. while that paperwork was underway. State Police said his symptoms may have been linked to earlier narcotics use, and an autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.
