Jose Rivera
Jose Rivera, a man who had been experiencing homelessness, died in the medical unit of a New York City jail in 2019, days after Layleen Polanco died at Rikers Island in June of that year. The Queens Daily Eagle reported that his death is under state investigation. The manner of death is still pending, and no cause has been stated in the account reviewed.
