Jose Herrera
Jose Herrera, 24, was held at the Santa Clara County Main Jail Complex in San Jose. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his assigned cell on July 5, 2024, and he was taken to a hospital. He died there on July 10, 2024. The county medical examiner-coroner determined that he died by hanging and ruled the manner a suicide, and the Sheriff's Office said a joint investigation was carried out under standard protocol.
