Jose Barrera
Jose Barrera, 62, died on August 13, 2024, while held at the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Texas. According to a news report citing an arrest warrant affidavit, another person held in the jail struck him and later choked him with a sheet that day, and investigators were notified of a further alleged assault in the same cell soon after.
