Jonathan Robertson, 35, died at Angola, the Louisiana state prison, on February 3, 2026. Prison officials said he was stabbed to death there that Tuesday night and classed the death as a homicide. They said another man held at the prison, Melvin Lopez, 49, was arrested in connection with the killing.
