Jonathan Danard Harris
Jonathan Danard Harris was 22 years old and was held at the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said he died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, after an altercation among several people held at the jail, in which he and another man were stabbed with foreign objects. Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. extended condolences to the families of Mr. Harris and the other man, and the facility chaplain met with both families. The sheriff's office said the death is under an active criminal investigation and that no charging decisions have been announced.
