Johnny Shane Kormondy

Johnny Kormondy was put to death by lethal injection by the State of Florida at Florida State Prison on January 15, 2015. Before his execution he met with a spiritual adviser and family members, and his last words, according to the Pensacola News Journal, were a prayer to Jesus Christ and the words "I'm coming home." His lawyers' last-minute appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court was denied, and he was pronounced dead at 7:16 p.m. The Florida Department of Corrections carried out the execution within minutes of Charles Warner's execution in Oklahoma.
