Johnny Herrera
Johnny Herrera, 57, of Grand Junction, died in August 2026 after he was arrested near Clifton on August 22. Officials say deputies gave him first aid and medical personnel took him to a local hospital, where he died the following day. The Mesa County coroner has not yet determined the cause or manner of death, and the Critical Incident Response Team and the Grand Junction Police Department are reviewing the case.
