Johnnie Lee James
Johnnie Lee James, 61, died at UAB Hospital on August 12, 2021, after a head injury from a fall at the William Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama, where they were held. According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, the fall happened in a day space area of the prison a day before their death. The Alabama Department of Corrections Intelligence and Investigations unit is investigating the circumstances of the death, and the manner of death has not been determined.
