Johnnie Jordan, 46, worked for several months as a bailiff for a Nevada district court judge before he was held at High Desert State Prison. On September 30, 2018, the Nevada Department of Corrections said he was found unresponsive in his single cell in the prison infirmary. The department has not given a cause of death. His death was reported by KTNV Las Vegas on November 15, 2018.
