Johnathan Altman
Johnathan Altman, 38, was held at the Bradford County Jail in Starke, Florida, where he had been since June. On a Wednesday night, correctional deputies restrained him, and he was taken to a hospital with low oxygen levels before being returned to the jail. Around 7:40 a.m. the next morning, deputies delivering breakfast found him unresponsive, and fire rescue declared him dead after efforts to revive him failed. The sheriff's office said the cause awaits an autopsy by the medical examiner, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the death.
