John William Wilson, 76, died on December 23, 2015, at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center in Coralville, where he was held in the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections. The department said he had been in the facility's infirmary medical care unit and that he died of natural causes from complications of pneumonia. No source reports a dispute over that cause of death.
