John Sorace
John Sorace, 87, died on February 20, 2025, while in custody in Rutherford County, Tennessee. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office said he had been hospitalized for about two weeks with a pre-existing illness and that a deputy stayed with him throughout. He was a former assistant chief with the Metro Nashville Police Department. He had been awaiting a court hearing in a case involving his wife's death, and the district attorney said that case is now closed because of his death.
