John R. Teague
John R. Teague, 28, had been held at the Georgetown County Detention Center in Georgetown, South Carolina, since March 2019. Corrections officers found him unresponsive in his cell on the morning of December 6, 2019, and he was taken to a hospital. Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson ruled his death a suicide after an autopsy. A separate record lists the date of death as December 9, 2019, and the cause as suicide by hanging.
