John Moore
John Moore was held in the Nelson County jail at Lovingston, Virginia, when a mob took him from the jail nearly two years before May 1912. A report circulating in Lynchburg that month said he had been killed by a kinsman who had sheltered him, but the report was unconfirmed. Another report placed him alive in New Mexico.
