John Maynard
John Maynard was being held at the jail in Montgomery, Texas, when a mob took him from the jail and lynched him on March 20, 1904. A Paducah Sun report published the next day gives this account and says the mob then searched for others without success. He was killed by the mob after being taken from the jail.
