John Harvey Howard
John Harvey Howard, 64, died on February 7, 2023, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond while in the custody of Riverside Regional Jail and held on a secured hospital ward. His attorney, Greg Sheldon, said in a court filing that Howard had been treated for cancer and had suffered a fall at the jail that fractured bones, caused brain bleeds and required two surgeries. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had not yet determined his cause or manner of death.
