John Gotti

John Gotti, 61, was one of 13 children born to immigrant parents in New York, and he is survived by his wife, Victoria, four children, five brothers and 11 grandchildren. He died of cancer on June 10, 2002, at a federal prison hospital in Springfield, Missouri, where he had spent several months after being moved there from another federal prison. The Washington Post reported that he had been treated for neck and throat cancer years earlier.
