John Gordon Boatwright
John Gordon Boatwright, 34, of Woodstock, Georgia, died at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center in Canton in the early morning of November 17, 2017. Deputies found him unresponsive in his cell and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said he was found seated with a ligature around his neck, and the cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy and a GBI investigation. His body was sent to the GBI crime lab for autopsy.
