John Franklin Caldwell III
John Franklin Caldwell III died at the Coweta County Jail on August 10, 2026. His cellmate found him unresponsive in his bed around 6:30 a.m., and paramedics were called, but he was pronounced dead at the jail. The Coweta County Sheriff's Office said he had been receiving treatment for ongoing health issues and that no foul play is suspected, while the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been asked to conduct an independent investigation.
