John Edward Wright
John Edward Wright, a 63-year-old Marine Corps veteran, was held at the Vista Detention Facility in Vista, California, when he died on September 16, 2021. His oldest son said he was a good man who loved music and his grandchildren, and who played with his kids. His family said he had post-traumatic stress disorder and asked whether he had been taking his medication. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department has not determined the cause or manner of death, and an autopsy and a review by its homicide unit were ongoing.
