John Brown, 79, died at the Jefferson City Correctional Center, a Missouri state prison, according to the Missouri Department of Corrections. The department said he was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Its press release says an autopsy will be performed. No cause of death has been given.
