John Brady
John Brady, 40, was held at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh, and on November 20, 2020, he was found not breathing in his intake cell. He was taken to UPMC Mercy on a ventilator, and he was released from custody before he died. An autopsy report attributes his death to complications of opioid toxicity. His sister contacted the Pittsburgh Institute for Nonprofit Journalism because she wanted the public to know what happened to her brother, and the family said the jail did not communicate with them.
