Joel Patrick Moyers, 55, was housed in the infirmary at Kilby Correctional Facility in Mount Meigs, Alabama. He was taken to a hospital on October 31, 2015, and died there on November 12, 2015. The Alabama Department of Corrections, through spokesman Bob Horton, said he died of complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
