Joe Franco Garza
Joe Franco Garza, Jr., 49, died on December 29, 2020, while held at the Polunsky Unit, a Texas state prison in Livingston. According to KCBD, he was found unresponsive in his cell after failing to respond to a guard's order, and he was pronounced dead at a Livingston hospital. The Office of the Inspector General is investigating, and the Texas Attorney General's custodial death report lists his death without a stated cause or manner.
