Joe Dan Channel

Joe Dan Channel, 62, was held in a Texas prison after being granted parole in late 2019. According to The New York Times, he became ill with Covid-19 while still incarcerated and died a few weeks before his scheduled release date. A Texas Office of the Attorney General custodial death report lists his death on June 1, 2020, at Hospital Galveston, a Texas Department of Criminal Justice facility.
