Died in prison
Jodey Wayne Waldrop
Jodey Wayne Waldrop was 36 years old. In June 2014 he was found stabbed in his cell at St. Clair Correctional Facility, and he died at a hospital. Another man held at the prison was later indicted for murder in his death, one of several killings at St. Clair in that period.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody (neglect alleged). An indictment charged another prisoner with murdering him, and a class action lawsuit says the prison failed to protect men held there from violence.
