Jesus Reyna
Jesus Reyna, 44, was a father of four whose family lived in Odessa, Texas, and he often spoke with fellow prisoner Remigio Pineda about raising his children from behind bars. On January 14, 2015, he was being transported by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on a prison bus that went off Interstate 20 near Penwell and collided with a freight train. The National Transportation Safety Board found the bus lost control after striking damaged guardrail, and the crash killed ten people on board. Pineda said Reyna died almost instantly.
