Jessica Chapman
Jessica Chapman died on April 19, 2021, at the Topeka Correctional Facility in Topeka, Kansas, where she was held. According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, she collapsed during a scheduled follow-up appointment at the facility's on-site medical clinic, and she had received medical care over the weekend for chest pains. She was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m., and preliminary autopsy results released by the state attributed her death to heart failure.
