Jessica Barry
Jessica Barry, 46, of Ashland, died on January 1, 2024, while in the custody of the Vilas County Jail in Eagle River. The Vilas County Sheriff's Office said officers believed she was experiencing a drug overdose. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections, the Vilas County jail and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office are investigating her death.
